As beautiful as this scene is, I'd like to see it cropped tighter - just my opinion. The water is incredible, but the destination for our eye gets somewhat lost for me. Beautiful scene and great technical work with the exposure! - jason

I agree. Ive tried that. But then scene looses (imho) nice part of the river and the story of the place - what is there around it. I somehow like the way my eyes need to TRAVEL there although it doesnt do good to the composition.

A bit of white balance wouldn't harm, I don't mind the composition that much.

You say that your composition is intentional, to tell the story of the beautiful lake. Unfortunately (imo), the town with the beautiful view of the lake, forest and mountains, is the focus of the image (based on the title) and it is misplaced. This is still a wonderful photo and worth a full-res print.
